Our Trail Bosses are Mike and Michele Toberer. Mike
and Michele have both been riding since childhood. Mike is an experienced
rider, and a professional packer, spending most of his time in the Emigrant Wilderness,
either travelling with his family, or bringing in groups for wonderful experiences.
Mike is a competitive packer, competing every year at Bishop Mule Days. Mike was the
Individual World Champion Packer in 2001, Reserve World Champion Packer in 2002, and has
not finished less than third in the past five years. Mike is also a Board Member of
the Backcountry Horsemen of California, and is in charge of Volunteer Service Projects in
the Emigrant Wilderness, as well as at many California Parks with Equestrian
Trails. Michele has been giving Horseback riding lessons for the past 10
years. She loves working and competing with her horses and mules. She
specializes in private and small group lessons for children and beginning riders.

And Now.....Meet Some of
the "Herd"!

All of our horses used for trail riding have been through
extensive training prior to guests' use. They are trained to work in the foothill
terrain, cover ground well, and maneuver any obstacle that may come up on the trail.
They love to work and will give guests an enjoyable ride. All horses and
mules are of good conformation, sound health, and are kept very clean and well groomed.
We want guests to feel proud of their mount for the day.
