Come on in and meet the horses...
Red's Raggedy Annie - stable name "Annie " was named after her ancester, Man-o'-War,
who's stable name
was "Big Red". She's 12 years, a Thoroughbred/Quarter horse. Annie's pedigree
reads like the who's who of equestrain fame. Annie is the princess of our pastures and
the lead mare. She's grown up around people and loves to be petted and
doted on. She's trained in dressage and knows all the right
moves.
Clouds Iron Man - stable name "Cloud, " fondly called our little black stallion
because he was
one for 16 of his 18 years. He's
a Missouri Fox Trotter...one smooth ride. Cloud is the leader in the pastures, insisting on immediate
respect from the other horses. He's a good natured
guy with people, though, and his tenacity & bravery makes him fearless on the trail.
A great ride!

And
then there's "Zeke", an abused horse we took on. He's an "experts only" guy because he mistrusts
& has no use for most humans. Zeke is a Missouri Fox Trotter. He's as
strong as a draft horse and goes uphill like a Jeep! He's been a handful but
at the same time a great way to learn all about horses. We love him &
he'll always have a home with us at The Ranch.
Wintertraum
or stable name "Maggie" is our Hanoverian grand lady. She competed in Olympic Equestrain
events as "Against the Wind" and is the mother of several
current Olympic competitors. Even though she's 25 years old,
she can still jump 5 ft! She's big (17 hands), smooth and powerful but every
bit a lady.

Cousin Serena on Annie, Bob on Maggie.

2006 brought snow to The Ranch!
Her
registered name is "Miss Spring Splash". Can you guess why? She's a
12 year old American Paint Overo we call "Shawnee". Lot's of stamina and a
willing spirit make her a great trail riding horse.

Our newest is "Vienna Spirit", a Westfalen/Oldenburg mare who's produced many award winning colts. She's a
kind, calm & gentle lady with extravagant movements. Spirit will be a great trail
horse.
